Our commitment

Handled Tax is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We are targeting conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML with clear headings, landmarks, and skip links.
  • Keyboard navigable layout with visible focus indicators.
  • Color contrast meeting AA thresholds for body text and interactive elements.
  • Alt text on meaningful images and aria attributes on non native controls.
  • Respect for prefers reduced motion. Animation is minimized when requested.
  • Forms with labeled fields, inline error messaging, and logical tab order.

What we are still improving

Accessibility is ongoing work. We are actively addressing edge cases in custom components, dropdown menus, and any legacy content. If something on this site isn't working well for you, please tell us so we can fix it.

Third party tools

Portions of this site rely on third party tools and scripts, including the TaxDome client portal. We cannot guarantee that every third party service meets the same accessibility goals. If you hit a wall in one of those tools, contact us and we'll help you work around it or switch to a format that works for you.

If you experience an accessibility barrier or need content in an alternative format, email amanda@handledtax.com. Please include the page URL and a short description of what you were trying to do. I read every message personally and respond within a reasonable time.
